About

A Montana native and transplanted Oregonian since 1992. My education is in art and psychology. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am a licensed professional counselor (retired).

The arts and photography have been integral in my life since childhood and have been especially important to me as a therapist, to help provide balance in my life. I mostly photograph nature, but at times am moved to photograph people, architecture or animals.

Currently I have been very engaged with my infrared photography, but am also excited about learning alternative processes such as platinum/palladium printing.

For most of the past 25-30 years I have been more focused on photography, As retirement loomed, I found myself more and more yearning to get back to my painting and drawing. In the last 10 years I have learned and then taught mandala painting using jungian principals and Tibetan format. This has been a very rewarding process both as a student and as a teacher.
